Group Health & Safety Co-ordinator

Join an international outdoor business in a rural environment as Group Health, Safety and Compliance Coordinator

The Role

Improve the Health, Safety and Compliance performance of the Group by maintaining compliance with standards and legislation by:

  • Ensuring compliance with legislative requirements by undertaking risk assessments and providing remedial measures for issues found
  • Regularly auditing sites in relation to Health and Safety performance
  • Monitoring and controlling the H&S performance and compliance of contractors
  • Being a source of professional knowledge and experience in health and safety, quality management and environmental issues
  • Assisting in all auditing processes across all sites as well as creating safety related policies
  • Investigating accidents and reporting causes and remedial suggestions.

The Person will be

  • Preferably hold a professional qualification in Occupational Health and Safety
  • Ideally hold a NEBOSH certificate in Fire Safety & Risk management
  • Have some auditing experience
  • Have experience of working in a manufacturing environment
  • Be driven and have strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Be highly organised and have a logical approach
  • Be calm and persuasive in difficult situations.
