Join an innovative outdoor business as a Web Developer & Content Administrator

The Nikwax Group operates within the growing international Outdoor industry, providing a range of aftercare products for a variety of clothing, footwear and equipment, as well as unique waterproof systems available through our premium outdoor clothing brand Páramo. The business has successfully managed its way through the recent Covid 19 crisis and has ambitious growth and development plans for the future. We are looking for a Web Developer & Content Administrator to support our very busy Web Development Team and to contribute towards our ongoing success.

The Role

Increase website analytics performance for Group websites by writing well-documented, rigorously tested and user-friendly website layout/interfaces utilising standard web coding practices by:

  • Writing well-documented, reliable, efficient code to underpin a fast and smooth user experience across different browsers and devices utilising standard PHP (incorporating Javascript and MySQL), HTML5, CSS3 and APIs
  • Being responsible for maintaining group websites to ensure they continue to be reliable, efficient, secure and meet business and user needs
  • Configuring and maintaining web servers and integrating data from various back end services and databases with assistance from the IT Department
  • Regularly reviewing security and implementing measures to minimise security risk breaches
  • Implementing and maintaining third party web services within our websites using tools such as tag manager, analytics, google console, recaptcha, maps, hotjar, geo locators.

The Person will be

  • Able to explain technical concepts to colleagues in layman’s terms

  • Passionate about web development and tools/systems.

At present this role will be working from home, but the successful candidate will be required to attend our Wadhurst offices on a regular basis in the future.

Join an innovative outdoor business as an IT Programmer

The Nikwax Group operates within the growing international Outdoor industry, providing a range of aftercare products for a variety of clothing, footwear and equipment, as well as unique waterproof systems available through our premium outdoor clothing brand Páramo. The business has successfully managed its way through the recent Covid 19 crisis and has ambitious growth and development plans for the future. We are looking for an IT Programmer to support our very busy IT Development Team and to contribute towards our ongoing success.

The Role

To assist with the maintenance and delivery of in house systems and databases. Maintaining and developing software in line with the latest standards. Providing 1st and 2nd line support where necessary for development issues by

  • developing VB.NET software using Microsoft WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation) to the agreed standards and working with our legacy system ASP.NET and Silverlight in a transition to WPF
  • being competent in using SQL 2008R2 and SSMS 2014, writing stored procedures, creation of new tables and databases, triggers and jobs
  • monitoring and supporting Windows Server scheduled tasks
  • providing 1st and 2nd line support for in house company applications developing and using a wide range of systems (MS Access, SQL, ASP/HTML, Crystal, Silverlight and WPF), being responsible for bug fixes and amendments to reports as required
  • ensuring that all software changes are approved by IT Development and then documented, including knowledge of software project life cycles and source control (e.g. SVN, Microsoft Team Foundation)
  • creating new reports to the agreed standards
  • accurately logging Helpdesk tickets and solutions.

The Person will be

  • methodical with excellent attention to detail
  • self-motivated and able to manage their own busy workload
  • able to take a specification and work within the constraints of that specification
  • understanding of the importance of a user friendly GUI
  • ideally degree qualified in a relevant subject and/or holding the relevant Microsoft Technical Certifications
  • experienced in using WPF, VB.NET, Visual Studio 2010 – 2019, Silverlight, ASP.Net and Microsoft SQL Management Studios.

Join an innovative outdoor business as a Product Feedback Executive

The Nikwax Group operates within the growing international Outdoor industry, providing a range of aftercare products for a variety of clothing, footwear and equipment, as well as unique waterproof systems available through our premium outdoor clothing brand Páramo. We are looking for a Product Feedback Executive to work within our Group Marketing Team, ensuring excellent lines of communication with the Group’s Product Development area.

We are looking for a Customer Service Advisor to join us on a fixed term basis to provide maternity cover in our extremely busy Customer Contact Team.

The Role

To improve understanding of customer needs and desires for both Nikwax and Páramo. Generating, managing and analysing customer feedback through a wide variety of channels and activities by:

  • generating and managing consumer feedback campaigns
  • managing the website feedback section as well as organising consumer feedback
  • analysing and informing on the effective use of consumer feedback
  • matching product feedback with product sales performance; identifying influences and anomalies
  • liaising with product development teams to provide up-to-date product information to the Group Marketing & Brand Identity Team
  • collaborating with the web team and the Digital Development Project Manager, to ensure all customer-facing product communication is correct
  • promoting and developing interaction within the Nikwax and Paramo communities.

The Person will be

  • data-driven and analytical
  • experienced in data analysis and report writing
  • proactive and enthusiastic
  • highly literate and numerate
  • educated to a degree level or the equivalent
  • passionate about the outdoors; with extensive knowledge of outdoor activities, products and the outdoor industry.

We are looking for a Dutch speaking Benelux Office Coordinator to support our very busy Head of Benelux Sales and to contribute towards our ongoing success.

The Role

Manage the Benelux Sales Office to ensure Nikwax customers are fully supported, whilst also supporting the Head of Benelux Sales and marketing activities by:

being the point of contact for any Benelux Nikwax customers wanting to place new orders and ensuring that orders are placed in a timely fashion  processing Benelux Orders inclusive of order entry, order confirmation, raising credits and the coordination of backed orders, as well as answering queries from Nikwax consumers and customers  responding to any comments on Benelux Social Media Channels  assisting the Benelux Sales team and Benelux Head of sales with both marketing and training events  utilising Nikwax CRM system in compliance with company policy  engaging in communication with customers by phone, email and any other methods to promote Nikwax products.
