How to be Dry

Whether you’re planning to go out on the hill, up a rock face or preparing to battle to the January sales, be sure to get your outdoor kit ready to face the extremities. Nikwax, of course, have the solution… Tech Wash will get rid of chalk marks in addition to its ability to clean outdoor clothes and TX.Direct will renew the waterproofing abilities of your favourite climbing clothing. If you are going on any Alpine adventures make sure your insulated clothing is washed first with either Tech Wash or Down Wash before proofing with Polar Proof or Down Proof. TX.Direct spray-on is also the perfect companion for on-the-hill/rock/mountain DWR renewal. Climbing shoes will always benefit from a thorough clean with Sandal Wash. BaseWash and Wool Wash will take care of your baselayers. Don’t forget to keep your ropes in top condition with Rope Proof – this also works for slings.

And if you’re travelling light, always be sure to take along some Travel Tubes, handy 100ml handwash formulae of Tech Wash, Base Wash and Wool Wash.
